Seminar Workshop on Academic Readiness and Dealing with High Risk LearnersTeachers of Colegio de Sta. Ana de Victorias from the Integrated School, Senior High school, and College gathered on June 22, 2019 and participated in the Seminar Workshop on Academic Readiness and Dealing with High Risk Learners. Dr. Nemia V. Yorac gave her welcome remarks to the participants of the event, and Dr. Sharon Rose G. Medez introduced the keynote speaker. Dr. Noel S. Marañon, a registered Guidance Counselor and Psychometrician, is currently working at Philippine Normal University... He gave specific topics on how to handle school-age students, 21st learners in the classroom, and positive attitude in the workplace for effectiveness. He explained and gave anonymous examples of Depression, Manic Episodes, Burn out, Anxiety, and other disorders. The participants also took a test and discovered their temperaments: sanguine, choleric, melancholic, and phlegmatic. As the program concluded, Mrs. Mary Grace C. Jagurin gave her closing remarks. CSAV @ 8: Sustaining Global Competence through Quality EducationBaccalaureate Mass Rev. Fr. Rafael Baja, Parish Priest of Our Lady of Victory Parish—Victorias City officiated the Mass for Graduating students on May 3, 2019. It started with the Processional March, from Altar servers, Graduating Students, Faculty and Staff, Administrators and School Officials to Board of Trustees and Incorporators and guests. Ms. Cherrie Mae N. Toleco led the Teacher’s Thanksgiving Prayer, Mrs. Rosalinda M. Santiago with the Parent’s Thanksgiving and Ms. Angeli A. Portilla with the Student’s Thanksgiving Prayer. Ms. Shelly P. Pama commentated for the whole mass until it concluded with a Final Blessing and the Recessional. Recognition Ceremony Right after the Baccalaureate Mass, the Recognition Ceremony began with the singing of the National Anthem led by the Panamyaw Chorale, followed with an opening remarks by Dr. Nelly H. Parreño. The ceremony gives opportunity for students to be recognized of their achievements in academic, leadership, service, and cultural. Three graduates were awarded as Magna Cum Laude, namely: Jennie M. Santiago (BEED), Angeli A. Portilla (BSAT), and Rose Mae A. Velano (BEED). 12 graduates were awarded as Cum Laude, namely: Mary Lareneth P. Demaraye (BSIS), Jeah B. Contiga (BSAT), Marriz M. Bayona (BSCS), Joysse A, Hechanova (BEED), Shelly P. Pama (BEED), Piel Ester P. Pastor (BEED), Mary Joy P. Parreñas (BSIS), Jenerose B. Lampago (BS Psych), Jhezah L. Javier (BEED), Suzanne P. Bolovar (BEED), Carmela Toreña (BEED) and April P. Guevarra (BSAT). For Academic Honors, Alfred Bulac (BSCS), Ella Marie B. Malazarte (BSCS), and Angele D. Suarez (BSCS) were recognized as First Honorable Mention in Academics. Elyzel M. Recomono (BSOA) and Gerald R. Mabugay (BSAT) were awarded as Second Honorable Mention in Academics. In Addition, Lovely Grace H. Remegio (BEED), Stephanie Joy D. Punzalan (BSOA), Jonah C. Osalia (BSOA), Judy Ann P. Tayco (BEED), Irene P. Cismundo (BSAT), Jhonna Mae P. Dima-ano (BSOA), Dether E. Siautong (BSAT), and Tommy Ditchella (BS Crim) were awarded as Third Honorable Mention in Academics. For Special Awards, Lady Third S. Pagayonan (AB Eng) received the Leadership Award, Albert P. Abong (BSOA) for Service Award, Shelly P. Pama (BEED) for Literary-Cultural Award, Regina A. Sta.Ana (BSOA) for Music-Cultural Award, and Dhenice A. Armada (BEED) for Dance-Cultural Award. For Special Citations, Rosea Marie D. Monsay (BSSW) received the award for giving pride and honor to the school for being one of the Top Ten Outstanding Students in Negros Occidental for A.Y. 2018-2019, and Belgrade Liberace H. Tuvilla (BSSW) for participating in National and International Conventions. Lastly, Kary B. Melgar (BS Crim) and Monique Kyle S. Custodio (BS Psych) received the award for Special Citation in Leadership. Ryan G. Azucena (BSSW), Joysse A. Hechanova (BEED), and Piel Ester P. Pastor (BEED) were awarded of Special Citation in Service. Cenn Bryan B. Legaspi (BS Psych), Lovely Grace H. Remegio (BEED), Dether E. Siautong (BSAT) received the Special Citation in Dance while Neil Ian D. Muhal and Maybelyn D. Bantiling received the Special Citation in Music. 5th Commencement Exercises
The graduation started with the Academic Procession, Doxology, singing of the National Anthem. and a salutatory address by Mr. Christian Emmanuel Maria S. Cruz. It was followed by the presentation of candidates for graduation by the Dean of Instruction, Dr. Nemia V. Yorac and the conferment of Degrees by the Executive Director, Atty. Romeo Vicente P. Sta. Ana Jr. Dr. Nelly H. Parreño introduced the Commencement Speaker, Dr. Amelia A. Biglete, Director IV—CHEDRO 4A, followed by giving her a plaque of appreciation, and the distribution of diploma to the graduates. Ms. Jennie M. Santiago gave a tribute to the Alma Mater, Jenaln M. Inguilo led the induction of Graduates or the Alumni Pledge, and Angeli A. Portilla recited the pledge of loyalty. The program ended with the singing of the graduation song “A Million Dreams”, Alma Mater Song, and the Recessional. |
